South QBs look to make a big impact on O.C. All-Star Game

COSTA MESA – The two quarterbacks that will represent the South football team in the Orange County All-Star Game are big talents from small schools.

Joey Gutierrez of Brethren Christian and Cade Henjum of Saddleback Valley Christian were consistently atop the county’s passing leaderboards during the 2016 season. Now, both quarterbacks are excited to show what they can do against the best players in the county.

“We are kind of representing small schools,” Henjum said. “We get to show our talent with some guys from bigger schools. It’s a perfect time to showcase our talent.”

Powerball ticket worth more than $480,000 sold at Anaheim gas station

A Powerball ticket worth nearly half a million dollars was recently purchased at a gas station in Anaheim, according to California Lottery officials.

Estela Arias, who matched all five numbers except for the Powerball number, was rewarded with a $480,287 payout. If she had hit the Powerball number, the jackpot would have been $228 million.

Her numbers for the draw on May 20 were 45-5-47-54 and 22 and she only missed the Powerball number 3.
