NFL draft’s ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ is Mississippi QB Chad Kelly

Chad Kelly had to wait three days to hear his name called at the NFL draft, but the former Mississippi quarterback soon will be feted in Newport Beach as “Mr. Irrelevant.”

Kelly was the 253rd and final pick of this year’s NFL draft, by Denver. If he accepts an invitation, Kelly will be honored sometime in June as part of the annual “Irrelevant Week” festivities, which include a gift-heavy arrival party, a banquet and other fun Southern California activities chosen by the honoree.

Trump says he’s brought ‘profound change’ to Washington

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Saturday marked his 100th day in office by saying he had brought “profound change” to Washington and reaffirming that “my only allegiance” is to those he governs.

On a threshold that Trump has both derided and tried to define, the president also said he is putting Americans first even as he learns on the job.

“My only allegiance is to you, our wonderful citizens,” Trump said in his weekly radio address.

Heisler: Whatever the Clippers are, they’re not going anywhere

Clippers forever.

No, really. This isn’t a tribue to Chris Paul, much as he deserves it, as do they all for the professionalism they have shown after losing Blake Griffin once more.
