Inter Valley Health Plan will be sponsoring a Winter Wonderland dance from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the Hilton Garden Inn, located on 12603 Mariposa Road in Victorville. A maximum of two people, age 60 and over, per reservation. Reservations are accepted through Oct. 28 or until seats are filled. Chili cook-off set for Sept. 10

Joshua Palms VFW Post 2924 will hold a chili cook-off on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. There will be a $10 fee that will include food tasting and music. Desert Winds Quilt Guild meeting

Desert Winds will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday at the Percy Bekker Senior Center, one block south of Main Street in Hesperia. Tools, tricks and templates for quilting will be demonstrated by expert members in various stations throughout the room. The doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the meeting starts at 9 a.m. Refreshments, bargain table, and a raffle drawing will also be included at the event.
